Allo Doula Academy is proud to be partnering with Saint Joe’s Hospital to offer doula support to their community and patients. This partnership allows patients to receive doula support from professionals who are part of the care team by working alongside nurses and providers. Collaborating together, we bridge gaps in delivery and provide a higher level of comprehensive care. This collaboration is paving the way for improved birth outcomes and experiences.
What are the benefits of choosing an Allo Doula Academy doula with the Saint Joe’s partnership?
Doulas are an integrated and intricate part of the care team at Saint Joe’s. We work together with the staff and care providers to provide you with fully comprehensive support. Our doulas are aware and familiar with the hospital's policies, procedures, standard routines, and medical options.
The doulas you’ll meet through this partnership are fully certified and practicing professionals — not students in a training program. Our doulas are incorporated into the Saint Joe’s OB care teams differently than a private doula: not only do they go through the Saint Joe’s orientation process, they are required to complete assigned HealthStream e-learning modules, adopt established L&D policies and procedures, and learn the Saint Joe’s standards of care. This lets you rest assured you’ve got a cohesive team by your side from day one.
Included in the Saint Joe’s Birth Doula Package:
Primary Doula and Back-Up Doula Support
Virtual support through pregnancy during normal business hours (M-F 8a-5p)
One hour-long prenatal planning call
24-hour virtual support during early labor
Up to 15 hours of face to face birth support (this includes 1-hour postpartum support unless 15 hours is reached)
